Why a blog?
Nathan and I have enjoyed the hobby of overlanding for our entire marriage! Over the years through different vehicle builds, destinations, and types of trips, we have scoured the internet for helpful information. Things seemed to change as we got older. Overlanding really took off during the pandemic as people sought travel that prioritized the great outdoors and people were able to work remotely. Suddenly, the overlanding content online was being made by people who were living on the road full time. Their vehicle builds were probably worth more than our house and everything on it! And that’s great, but that’s not where we are in life. It has become more difficult for the average or beginner weekend overlander to find helpful content that isn’t tailored to content creators. We both love our jobs and our community and are not looking to “escape the rat race” and live on the road full time. We don’t have the time or energy to run a youtube page at this time, so we will be sharing stories about our trips and helpful overlanding information in blog form!
